About
Where Wall Street meets
Foreign Relations
Most political risk advisors come from one world. I've operated at senior levels in three: global finance, government, and academia.

On Wall Street, I spent nearly two decades as a C-suite executive at a multi-billion-dollar investment firm and as a senior attorney at Shearman & Sterling LLP — structuring cross-border deals, M&A, and infrastructure projects across emerging markets.

As Panama's Foreign Minister, I saw first-hand how government decisions reshape the regulatory environments, trade flows, and sovereign risk profiles that determine whether an investment delivers or destroys value.

Today I run Pixbae Advisory Strategies, helping investors integrate geopolitical analysis into portfolio construction. I serve on the Board of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute and as a Fellow at Harvard's Institute of Politics.

Approach
I work with investors, corporations, and boards to decode the political dynamics that determine the market outcomes in emerging economies.

1
Political Risk Assessment
Analyzing regulatory shifts, sovereign decisions, and institutional dynamics, not from the outside looking in, but with the pattern recognitiion that comes from having sat inside a government making those decisions.
2
Investment Strategy
Translating political intelligence into portfolio-level implications - identifying which geopolitical scnearios create assymmetric risk or opportunity accross asset classes and geographies.
3
Stakeholder Navigation
Guiding corporations through the complex stakeholder landscpaes of emerging markets - government relations, community dynamics, and the trust architectures that determine whether a deal survives contact with reality.
